My introduction to Information Technology came in 1997. It was my freshman year of college and while I originally planned to study Criminal Justice, I found myself captivated by the World Wide Web. Back then, Google was known by another name, Windows 98 had yet to be released and the phrase "social media" was unheard of. Seems so long ago doesn't it?
After months of browsing, and yes I admit frequenting chat rooms, I decided to teach myself HTML. At first building websites was a hobby but through word of mouth and luck I turned my passion into a career. Along the way, I've filled many roles and in the process learned how to replace one person's head for another in Photoshop; create 3D scenes in Poser; and manage to teach first time Windows users the difference between a left click and a right click.
Today, I work as a full-time freelancer where among other tasks I hand code PSDs into (X)HTML/CSS websites, build custom WordPress themes and manage email marketing campaigns. In addition, I maintain websites as well as dabble in 3D art and photography.
